[CD] ストリートジャムス:エレクトリックファンク(Street Jams:Electric Funk)

ストリートダンス、特にブレイクダンスのスタイルであるポッピング・アニメーションの練習曲やダンスイベント用の音源、音ネタとして一押しの使えるCDがコレ。ストリートジャムス「エレクトリックファンク」はオールドスクール(old school)系の音楽には定評のあるRHINOレコードから発売されているエレクトロ（テクノの前身の音楽ジャンル）のオムニバスCD。シリーズは全部で４枚。輸入盤CDのみの発売で国内でのリリースはない。数多くのオムニバスアルバムが発売されているなかでストリート ジャムスの収録曲の質の高さは他の追随を許さないものがある。ざっと挙げただけでも、アフリカ バンバータ(Africa Bambaataa)の「プラネット ロック(Planet Rock)」、ハービー ハンコック(Herbie Hancock)の「ロック イット(Rock It)」、そして映画「ブレイクダンス(米題Breakin')」のクラブでのダンスバトルのシーンでも使用されているアイスＴ(Ice T)による「レックレス(Reckless)」などのエレクトロの有名曲がてんこ盛り。また、数々の収録曲を怒涛のようにミックスしたオリジナルの「SKANLESS ELECTRIC MEGA-MIX」もアツい。

  国内盤は発売されておらず海外盤のみ。HMVやタワーレコード(Tower Records)など輸入盤を扱う大型CDショップで取り寄せられるが店舗によって取り扱いが終了している場合も多いため、店を回って探すのは結構苦労する。アマゾンで一枚あたり1,500円～1,800円と安く購入できる(2010年1月時点)為、おすすめです。
